Financial Assistance for Property Owners and Interested Buyers
If you are a current property owner in Hawthorne or are looking to purchase property in the neighborhood, there are a number of financial assistance programs available. These financial programs, sponsored by a variety of non-profit organizations, the Hawthorne Neighborhood Council and the City of Minneapolis, are available to people interested in making North Minneapolis (NoMi) home.

- Hawthorne Home Improvement Program: Home improvement, home energy, emergency deferred funds available to people in Hawthorne
- Minneapolis Advantage: A program created to help potential buyers purchase a home in areas challenged by foreclosure and bring people back on the blocks by offering down payment assistance
- Pohlad Foundation Homebuyer Assistance Program: Financial assistance available to help people pay for closing costs and down payments when buying homes in a variety of NoMi neighborhoods
- Homeowner Incentive Programs: There are a variety of other programs available to help people purchase or renovate homes in Minneapolis and St. Paul.
